I just left 41 and Alton , helped a Road Ranger who just helped us out in a big way , to find out the city manager directed Micheal Smith of HR to ELIMINATE the super successful road ranger program. The one program that actually helped our officer saftey, helped our residents and was critical to large events as a force of good. Another officer just confirmed he had a similar conversation and also confirmed it. How can they do this to our police chief and his troops ? What about all the safety issues that will come from this , why is our city government so well paid and they screw over the working guys who actually made a difference? No bueno papo.

The Road Rangers have been a great asset to this city and our department. Everyone of those guys work their ass off every day. They assist patrol daily with traffic posts and traffic crashes and assisting citizens. What can we do as an agency to keep them ? Great guys who have been a great addition. City hall don’t take away a program that actually is beneficial.

a Miami beach police officer did NOT die today beacuse a road ranger vehicle assisting in a critical position providing critical coverage at the scene of the traffic fatality on the mcarthur today was stuck by a lunatic that would have potentially killed an officer being forced to cover that position. The FOP had better support the chief and get on TV and tell the residents the clear officer saftey issues and vicarious liability and danger the citizens are in by allowing this disaster to happen.
