Remember a week ago when Tamarac City Commissioner Mike Gelin called out Broward County cop Joshua Gallardo for wrongfully arresting him?
So Commissioner Gelin released his cell phone video of the arrest. And guess what? He was right.

As you can see time and time again the credibility of sworn police oversight can not be entrusted to sworn positions. Civilian oversight is the way to go.

Makes a lot of sense have a bunch untrained and biased people Monday morning quarterback an incident where force was needed. An arrest where a subject resists will always look ugly to the untrained observer. All these feel good civilian oversight panels will lead to cops doing nothing on duty.

Some cops are protected no matter what they do
Others are hammered to give the appearance of integrity when in reality it’s pure corruption.
If you protect those that are crooked it shows other crooked employees that they too can get away with crimes if they are in the circle

Power is associated with abuse. That's why blue needs to check themselves. Mandatory vacations, psych checks, mindfulness and meditation training. Power is never your friend...don't lose yourself to it.
