Kurt Hoffman fails polygraph about stealing from two (2) former employers

Integrity must start from the top. Both Knight and Hoffman are now at the top, which is where they should not be.

So Hoffman flunked the first poly because he lied about being a thief, but then during the second poly, he broke down and finally admitted to stealing as a reserve deputy and stealing grand theft boat ---- and then he passed the poly for admitting to all that stuff? OMG now that's a true second floor troll who fits in perfectly into Knight's highly selective inner circle. Even John Walsh cant top that!!!

The pot calling the kettle black
So let me get this straight. Colonel Hoffman, the 2nd in charge of the agency and hand picked by the elected troll, committed at least 5 thefts in his past including at least one felony? At first he was untruthful in an official proceeding and then he confessed to his criminal past, yet he is the one who was behind JT getting terminated for being untruthful in an official proceeding!!! Wow isn't that the pot calling the kettle black? No wonder why this place is like Alice in Wonderland where up is down and right is wrong! Thank goodness I only have a few years left.

Understood.
A while back, we were required to take an ethics class which discussed that kind of an issue. The instructor described it as a an internal "culture of corruption" by agency heads, but the agency heads are blind to it (sort of like how a sociopath is in denial). The instructor said that a corrupt upper level management will influence the level of police misconduct that is tolerated.
It going to be difficult to change the entrenched 2nd floor culture, but it can be done. Look at the histories of Tom Knight, Kurt Hoffman, John Walsh and others. It's a process that can take years to change and it’s not something that happens overnight or in a couple of months -- unless sweeping change comes with a newly elected Sarasota sheriff who has integrity.
Can it happen?

Yes, I really believe that it's ok for me to take SSO gas, so I'm going to go and do it. My actions will speak louder than my words.
