    Chief Tony time is up

Police Pursuits are highly restricted for a reason. Not wanting to see innocent motorists hurt or killed is second only to murders of innocent persons. You know better than to call these stolen vehicle offenders as "joy riders". Most of these offenders have multiple arrest records, almost always black and young. The juvenile justice system has never been able to address these super predators. What do most of these predators have in common? Almost always poor students, come from single parent families, and have been allowed to grow up in the streets without any supervision, structure, or consequence for their actions. Dont you think its about time that there be some harsh punishments for those stolen vehicles that get involved in wrecks where innocent people are hurt or killed? All I ever hear from black community leaders is these kids just need jobs. Really, thats the answer Chief? None of their fathers are around because they are in jail? Is that true? Or do these females refuse to name the fathers so they can get government assistance, thus not having to work and receiving what amounts to a lower middle income living without doing anything other than having kids. The gig should be up Chief, its time you start calling out the root causes of this out of control black on black crime, start calling out these out of wedlock births, St. Pete leads the state with 9 out of ten black births being to unwed mothers. Its time to push for legislation that these kids be charged as adults and it be punishable by prison sentences if convicted, similar to the DUI/Manslaughter sentencing.

Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri introduced the Adult Pre-Arrest Diversion program to St. Petersburg City Council members Thursday.

"Just because they make a bad mistake doesn't mean they're bad people, and the system needs to be able to recognize there's a difference," said Gualtieri.

first time offenders for minor crimes is not the same as these predators that are stealing cars and crashing into innocent motorists, hurting and killing them! The Chief got his job, partially due to the color of his skin. The Chief knows what the root problems are, but even he is not willing to go there. Until someone does, the cycle of spitting kids out, letting them hang in the streets, being poor students and getting arrested multiple times will continue. "Where are your kids at 10pm"is the Chiefs solution? How bout babies momma dont give a damn where the kid is. Then what Chief?

Dumb like a fox. Holloway is giving the politicians exactly what they want while double-dipping his current salary and the Clearwater PD pension. Soon to be two pensions after his SPPD stint is over. It's all about the Benjamins as long as he plays dumb and doesn't stir the pot. St. Pete is a liberal city run by liberal politicians and he understands that.

It's not going to be any different for the next three police chiefs. Everyone wants to get tough on crime until it's their sons and husbands going to jail, then they are screaming about racism and militant police presence. Just find a tree to hide under and go home alive every night, that's all you can do. This is no longer about enforcing the law, it's about politics.

    You nailed it good.

Stay alive, safe and don't get fired so you can get your pension and get the hell out of here. Once you retire move out of the city because it is not going to get any better. It's all about survival not law enforcement.
