    After 71 percent of Florida’s voters approved a statewide Constitutional amendment legalizing medical marijuana in 2016, officials attempted to regulate it by limiting the number of medical marijuana centers that can operate.

    It is unclear whether Florida officials will appeal the Constitutional ruling.

    Lightbulb Sarasota County commissioners deny permit for cannabis clinic

    The Legislature required that medical marijuana dispensaries be allowed anywhere a pharmacy is sited, or not at all.
