Eric Robinson under investigation for election fraud

Election complaints against PACs associated with Eric Robinson, the Sarasota GOP’s accountant and past chair – are expected to go before the Florida Elections Commission (FEC) next month.

The FEC is investigating whether the Sarasota GOP violated state election laws by employing “funneling tactics [to hide money sources].”

PACs chaired by Robinson are accused of “…funneling money through [multiple] PACs to the Sarasota GOP… which constitutes a violation of state law.” GOP PACs include:

• Making a Better Tomorrow
• Legal Reform Now (already shut down)

“This is an unusual case in that it peels back the curtain and very clearly shows how money is being manipulated,” said Ron Meyer, a Tallahassee attorney representing Michael Belval, a Sarasota resident who filed the complaint.

If the Sarasota GOP and FEC both agree to the payment of a civil penalty fee, then the investigation stops dead in its tracks. You just have to know how to stop an investigation from going any deeper. That's things work.
