    Step plan anyone ?

So is FHP or HSMV going to lobby anytime soon for a step plan? They can give all the raises they want but it won’t matter. If you stay there for 30 years you’ll still make the same as a rookie Trooper from the academy. Don’t they know if you wanna keep people that is what they need to do? Otherwise turnover will continue and will only get worse once all the senior Troopers retire in the next coming years.

There has not been a step plan since the early 90s why would you think they would magically bring back one now? More and more Sheriff's Offices are working crashes and standing up traffic units of their own.

Eventually rookies will make more than you coming out of the academy. FHP ask legislator to raise starting pay. Never a step plan. So if you're here five years you're making less than a rookie coming out of the academy.

Are you special? They’re raising the starting pay aka the base pay meaning we also get the same raise...
