Recently, it has come to our attention that WCSO, under the leadership of Mike Adkinson, is now charging members of the community for services, specifically, what is know as a "keep the peace" or "civil stand by" call for service. Historically, these calls have had their own codes for dispatch to assign, so this sort of service is nothing new.

What is new is that under the elected leadership of Michael Adkinson, is that tax paying members of Walton County are being forced to PAY for this normal service.

Having tax paying citizens put their name on a list for service (paid $$$ by the way) is such an incredible idea, only Mike Adkinson could up with it and execute it.

I will tell you, looking into my crystal ball that the excuse given for the injustice, assuming he is ever confronted with it, will be his "lack of staff".

Let's look into that excuse and the actual lack of staff at WCSO.

Records show that the top state accredited and highly acclaimed WCSO is short 30+ deputies. I wonder WHY?

Why ths would be due to Mikey Adkinson kissing so much Tally A$$ prior to the new Gov. D being elected that he has to live with his decisions. Like he new #2 and other "favors" that have occurred that he now has to live with and explain to the north end folks. South end folks have already figured him out and that is obvious by other websites and comments there. He will have a candidate run against him from the Republican Party.

Mikey has sold his soul to Tally and when Putnam lost, it all went to shit, including the deal made to put him in charge of FDLE. Lots of folks have verified this.

Now, Walton County, Florida festers in rumors and allegations of corruption, unethical work environment, and so it goes on. To hear that our WCSO is now charging a minimum for what would be a normal service is not only distasteful, but somewhat expected by Adkinson's lack of the ability to follow and enforce simple regulations, ordinances and State Law. Adkinson has told officers in the WCSO he would be leaving for Tally and to take up their issues with "a new sheriff".

Sounds like it is time for that "new sheriff" and a way for those in need and with concern to reach out to representation with one of the local police unions.

Adkinson has dozens of unused marked vehicles positioned in Walton County, just all collecting dust (depreciation). Why?

Adkinson has many high dollar employee$ that sit at desks while his detectives have to now become School Resource Officers. Why? This sounds like very, very poor management.

It is time for Mike (mikey) Adkinson to go somewhere else and since it won't be Tallahassee with FDLE, what is the next political option for one like him.
