    Lubin in patrol

Why is the old black guy from Homicide back in patrol? Wasn't he the most senior detective there?

To be fair: homicide is one of the, if not the most, demanding unit in any police department. It requires you to be on-call pretty much 24/7 and does not allow much free for anything but work, work, and more work to close out cases. He probably saw the toll it was taking on his health and
Time with family and asked to be placed back into patrol. I know quite a few folks in specialized units who have done so. There's nothing like coming to work, doing your 10s, maybe picking up an extra shift or detail, and leaving it all behind once you go 09-06. He's done his time, it's best for him to move on and make room for another eager officer ready to take on the challenge.

Maybe, but ain't buying it. Homi's live to solve, it's in the blood. Doesn't matter what color you are.. No one mentioned the SAO side of the equation......
