Because the mid shift is not here today, nor for the last 5 years, or so.
"The mid shift is coming back." So if Jesus Christ, but for the past 2000 years no one has been holding their breath.
If the mid shift comes back, if we have 14 per squad, if no one gets sick, if no one has training, if no one is on vacation, if no one takes a holiday, if no one has court, if no one has a death in the family, if no one gets suspended, if no one gets fired, if no one has a baby, if if if, we might be caught up for 6 months. Then the amount of non-law enforcement calls we take, along with the growth of this county and the helplessness we teach the citizens will have overtaken the 14 units and mid shift.

The 12 hour shift was never meant to be 12 hours of call, after call, after call, after call, and report, after report, after report, and non-law enforcement issue, after non-law enforcement issue, after non-law enforcement issue. The 12 hour shift was implemented when the amount of work was reasonable.

The real cops, the ones who are loyal to the leadership, want to apologize to the citizens who view these posts of two or three liars. They will be caught soon. Please know that the other thousands of real cops don’t support the anonymous cowards.

Yup, back when half the businesses, housing developments, apartments, and population was here. Better yet, when half the BS we had to do. Its ok. 4 people in my platoon since jan are gone. Keep it up. No mid shift, no specific administrative time, and people quitting.
