James Leavens who's running against incumbent Sheriff Carmine Marceno touts his platform on his website that he is the only Pro-life card carrying candidate running for sheriff. It's been recently reported that his support from several controversial local Lee County pastors with strong histories of condemnation for the LGBTQ community has come to light. Further criticism pointed out the pastor's congregations were ironically totally Caucasian. Leavens is quoted as saying although he's attended services at both churches, he doesn't necessarily share the same opinions. Leaven's critics point out his statements are tepid at best and further fuel speculations about Leaven's allegations of racist homophobic comments.

It's an absolute verified FACT that Jimmy Whitey Moon Pie Klan Man Leavens has a long established history during his career with the Lee County Sheriff's Office as a known staunch racist who made countless statements about minorities and shared his known disgust for the LGBTVQ community.

There are WAY TOO MANY senior deputies and above throughout the agency discussing it. The absolute worst part is the ONLY support he has, although small, is from those who were once employed at the sheriff's office and within the community who all share the same reputations as sharing his same racist bigoted homophobic views.
