In an attempt to curb criticism form the LGBTQ community James Leavens has sought support from former scandal ridden sheriff Rodney Shoap. Shoap was long suspected of delving in the alternative lifestyle after being partially outed at a highly affluent local community soiree, however, Shoap stated he merely attended the gathering and continued to deny his homosexuality. LGBTQ leaders have consistently pressured Shoap to Out himself in an effort to support LGBTQ rights and issues. It's unknow at this point if Shoap's support will have any affect on the political for James Leavens or curb the criticism of the candidate from the LGBTQ community,

Leavens and Shoap deserve each other. Everybody knew Shoap was a little fruity in the booty with that limp hand shake and his feminine ways but instead of being honest and open he kept hiding amongst the WASP churches. Their both liars and manipulators who care nothing about others, the community and certainly the agency.

I don't know whose giving you advice Mr. Leavens, although I hear it's from D Spence, but your platform of bashing people's personal lives when it comes to personal decisions of abortion and calling LGBT people sinners who need to find religion and change their choice of lifestyle is abhorrent!

If someone was OPENLY pushing a pro choice platform such as the two ancient former white ultra religious conservative crooked sheriffs like McDougall who openly carried abortion is murder signs in the Edison parade or Shoap who said God told him to run for sheriff (Also, your former running mate Fisher who said the same) then I could see you attacking them. But to take a personal event from someone's life is NOT Christian, NOT classy, and NOT becoming of anyone to hold public office.

Take your backwards old religious views somewhere else!

Leavens was confronted once again on his racist, homophobic views and all he could do was shake his head and quickly walk away while his WASP supporters yelled "Shut up faggot your going to hell sinner".

It was widely apparent at a recent political event for Sheriff Marceno that Shoap's endorsement of Leavens has cost him the support of any and all deputies with over 15 years at the agency.

As James Whitey Klan Man Moon Pie Leavens answered questions at a North Fort Myers Civic Meeting, a lady who asked questions about allegations over Whitey Leavens' homophobic views was jeered by Leavens's supporters in the crowd and called "faggot, go home queer, who cares Jew lover". Whitey Leaven's made no effort to curb the crowd's jeers or the verbal assault on the lady.
