Evidently, 45% of the voters didn't get the memo in the 2018 election that Debartelo was backing the Sheriff. And Pruitt was an unknown "D". If a Democrat (with a powefull name) runs against the Sheriff, Chronister very well likely would lose.

    2018 Election results:
    Hillsborough County Sheriff
    54.86 percent, 279,884 votes -- Chad Chronister (R)
    45.14 percent, 230,314 votes -- Gary Pruitt (D)

Since we have a Democrat with an (R) by his name for a Sheriff, we just need a Republican candidate to put a (D) by his name and we'll be set.

For those who care to actually be informed, Chronister's only statement was that he will not swear in deputies as ICE Agents to enforce federal laws ourselves. We don't have the time or resources to handle our own calls, let alone do their job for them. He has always honored detainers and will continue to do, so this new law signed by the Governor will not have any effect on our operations or Chronister's position.

The problem is all you bottom feeder losers don't actually understand facts or understand these programs, so instead you just spout off random nonsense and false information. This further explains why you can't get promoted and it is only your own fault. We can't get you lazy bums to take calls for service and do that correctly, so I highly doubt you really want to go kick in doors with ICE.

But, kind sir, we take calls for TPD, FHP, TTPD, USFPD, TIAPD, LBGT all the friggin time. Don't give me that b.s. "we don't have the time." When has anyone cared if patrol had the time?

When have we ever said no to doing another agencies job for them? {Insert ESPN's "C'MON MAN" here!} Maybe just now, but only because it will serve a political purpose.

I agree, we do many AOA reports and the argument could be made that we shouldn't. However, if you work in a division like I do that receives AOA's from other agencies, including locals mentioned above, then you would know they write a ton for us as well. I don't think we do more than others in our area if you think about the issue relative to our size and call volume compared with the smaller agencies.
