Whoever selected these azz-clowns for DUI has failed to perform his duties and responsibilities. The question now is will he be held accountable by the sheriff who is constantly throwing these terms around. Personal responsibility and accontability, that's what Bob always says he demands. It's time for Bob to step up and hold his command staff accountable.

Problem #1 They should base transfers on what kind of deputy they are. Who gets transferred? Patrol Deputies who do nothing but DUI’s to get into the DUI Unit. Those are not good deputies. Those are narrow sighted children who just want to do one thing. And honestly, how hard is it to do a DUI. PC for stop, observations, FST’s, arrest, 20 minutes and blow or don’t blow. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Anyone can do that job. Maybe they should be looking for good deputies instead of traffic hounds who can’t or won’t do anything else. And from what hear they’re going to recycle some benched players. Apparently the brass is in a rush to fill some spots. Here’s a thought!! Start fresh. I think they’re down to what, one deputy, one corporal and one sergeant. Can’t we take a breath, conduct interviews and get honest recommendations? Knee jerk reactions never end well.

The memo is out for applications and there will be a interview board so put it or shut up. Oh I know why bother cause its a rigged process. It’s not rigged if you get it only if someone else gets its. We know the mentality. Stop acting like a child.

You raised an excellent point which is the reason this mess happened in the first place. Also lack of common sense and maturity played a part in the said mess. Maybe the brass has learned its lesson when picking the next batch of DUI deputies but I doubt it based in past record. We will see.

Problem is no one puts in for DUI. When there are 3 applicants for 3 openings, you get what you get.

Family, friends, butt kissers, and equal opportunity appointments get first dibs. If they get a list and don’t like the people on it, it will be ripped up and start again. If they can’t get who they want then the phone calls start coming. Nepotism at its finest.

In order to attract better people the administration should throw in some incentives.

I agree. Why would someone with any time on want to work those days/hours with all the court associated with it?
