If what Peterson was doing was so wrong then why was bso still teaching group entries months after stoneman douglas? So much for your negligence case. Once this gets out they will only be able to prove the agency itself was negligent but not any one deputy.

Everyone who understands active killer knows you don’t wait for back up. It’s all in the training records. Just depose the deputies they will tell you the truth.
Whoops, You should have crossed your T’s and dotted your i’s before you started violating cops rights and making a bad arrest.

It was pretty close if it wasn’t him. Maybe it was in that transition period. But regardless, the agency was sending the troops in groups. This was all well after the shooting at Stoneman Douglas. It’s all in the training records. How does BSO participate in this bad arrest knowing that was their training post Stoneman Douglas??????

So here’s the question everyone. If BSO trains you negligently and you act on that training, should bso be participating in your arrest, especially your bad arrest, and doing tv interviews and bragging about it afterwards. Maybe they should have reviewed the training files before they jumped the gun on this one. And when those training records come out in open court and that testimony of a few hundred deputies who participated in that training comes out in court, I wonder how credible this arrest is going to look then. What do you think an impartial judge or jury would say or think about that.

And when they see how sloppy this arrest really was I wonder what they’ll think of your perjury case then.

Stated differently, Peterson was arrested for doing precisely what BSO was training deputies to do AFTER the shooting at Stoneman Douglas. I’m no rocket scientist but I’m guessing that’s going to be a big problem for their criminal case LOL.

That would explain them making changes to the active killer training. I wonder what changes they made. Rut Row.

The biggest change under the new policy: Deputies are now told they “shall” - rather than “may” - attempt to enter the scene of the shooting in order to stop the killer and save lives. The language of the previous policy was criticized by a state public safety commission, which included parents of students slain in Florida’s worst school shooting.

In a draft report of its conclusions released earlier this month, the commission wrote: “The use of the word ‘may’ in the BSO policy is ambiguous and does not unequivocally convey the expectation that deputies are expected to immediately enter an active assailant scene where gunfire is active and neutralize the threat.”

A word in he policy is one thing, but what is the actual training going to like that. The fact trhe training is being changed would indicate the governors appointee knew full well what was going on prior to his appointment. If he did know and still went on television to gloat over this arrest it’s full proof he did this for purely political reasons.

They simply can’t get out of this one. In the game of chess this is known as a checkmate. You’re trapped by your own moves. And you lose.
