One click of a button reveals every booked arrest that a deputy has ever made. It's easy to prove or disprove. Kurt Hoffman was hired as a civilian lawyer by former Sheriff Bill Balkwill - and from that day until now, Hoffman has never worked in the patrol division, detective bureau (CIS), special investigations (SIS narcotics), traffic section, community policing, crime prevention, SRO/SRD, etc. Hoffman has never booked one single arrestee into the Sarasota Jail - unless someone can prove otherwise. Again, it's easy to electronically verify.

I pray he isn't ever sheriff. We've got to get the word out to the sarasota county residence of all the horrible things he does (along with knight). Once he starts campaigning, we need to go to as many speaking events as possible and ask all the key question so the public can see he's a jerk.

Sorry to disappoint you but according to the process already determined by the GOP of Sarasota Knight will do as he is ordered to and step down before the end of his term so Hoffman can be appointed Sheriff prior to this he election. Unfortunately An incompetent incumbent will still beat out a legitimate more suitable and experienced candidate.

You make outstanding points that are disturbing. However, God works in mysterious ways that are not always our ways. For example, Ms. Hillary Rodham Clinton was "anointed and appointed" by the DNC and MSM, but God had other plans and God presented President Donald J. Trump to the electorate and we voted him into office. Kurt Hoffman might be "anointed and appointed" by Eric Robinson and the Sarasota GOP, but that is not a guarantee with the electorate. Also, Governor Desantis is not a pushover. Eric Robinson and Kurt Hoffman might be counting their chickens before they hatch.

Correct Desantis has to sign off and from what the word is Desantis is not to happy with knight so you never know. Plus I hear the yet to be named other person who may run is well respected within the department and the community

How will the dirt will be released? Paperwork? Hoffman came out of the gate early and fast, with the hope of quickly dominating the field and intimidating others to "stay away." However, even the best of plans can come to naught.

A shakedown will be good because "basic honesty" needs to be restored to the upper echelon of the SSO, specifically on the third floor. Honesty is not complex; honesty is basic at its core.

Hoffman is an employed Sheriff's Deputy with education backing, SAO,Another SO and political clout. Get over it. You and I both know he will be the next SHERIFF. People complain about, Monge,Balkwill,Knight and now Hoffman. It'll never change. You can not and will not make everyone happy. Just enjoy the ride.....
