Epiphany - Sheriff John Kost

I just had an epiphany that John Kost will be our next sheriff.

The grassroots support will obviously start off small, but once SSO employees realize that he will win, then the landslide of support will invariably come. John Kost will ultimately have a deluge of support, with plenty of volunteers for:
- holding signs
- erecting signage before the election (& removing them after he wins)
- showing up at debates
- getting signature cards (if that's the route he chooses to take)
- etc.

The GOP is clearly not happy with Tom Knight, for obvious reasons that do not need to be pointed out here. I'm going to go out on a limb and state that Knight is not running again. Thus, who will the GOP support financially? Eric Robinson holds the purse strings for supporting campaigns and Joe Gruters holds the political strings for getting official GOP support. That part of the equation still needs to be worked out, at the time of this writing.

John, you don't know who I am, BUT we have a lot of work cut out for us to get you in the Office of Sheriff for Sarasota County. Running a campaign is never easy, unless you are the incumbent, but in your case, it might be an exception. Each SSO employee, retiree and citizen will have to have their own epiphany. It's coming.

It would be a great place if John was Sheriff, instead of the bully we have, he has been a bully since he started, and he has done nothing but close things down. So someone will discretely approach John Kost and will threaten to expose skeletons if he doesn't withdraw from the Sarasota sheriff's election? Look at Tom Knight's skeletons, to include the skeletons of his Knight's current and former appointed staff deputies:

• The FBI denied Sheriff Tom Knight a Top Secret security clearance. Knight was also arrested by VPD for disorderly conduct at a bar when he got drunk and got into a fight over "woman issues." He publicly called Sarasota
  School board member Shirley Brown stupid, tried to sabatoge the school budget (documented in a Herald Tribune sting) and he recently called Commissioner Hagen Brody a liar. • Colonel Kurt Hoffman failed a polygraph test about stealing from multiple victims and from multiple employers. Hoffman confessed to:
  - stealing pornography
  - stealing a boat
  - stealing from multiple past employers
  - stealing gasoline while working as a reserve deputy for the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office (twice).

• Captain John Walsh was investigated for having sex with another deputy's wife in the other deputy's home. The deputy caught Walsh in bed with her and he filed a complaint. (1) While under oath during an IA investigation, Walsh denied it during three separate interviews. (2) Then Walsh then got Detective Mark Macale to lie as a false alibi. That's about as crooked and as you can get (and that's only for those who are caught). Macale finally cracked and told the truth - and he admitting lying under oath as a false alibi for Walsh - but Walsh continued lying (because he didn't know that Macale cracked). • Ron Locke has retired, but he was a Knight crony, so he is dishonorably mentioned here. Sergeant Chris Iorio (retired) and Deputy Kevin Sugg told Knight that Locke got a juvenile pregnant and paid for the abortion. The mother was livid, but Locke threatened to arrest her if she hit him. • Captain Kevin McElyea failed a lie detector tests about sleeping with another man's wife when the husband caught them in bed together. McElyea denied it, so the husband secretly recorded McElyea discussing how to suppress the evidence - and the husband gave the secret recording to Knight - but Knight flushed the case and promoted McElyea to captain. • During a traffic stop, Lt. Dan Tutko asked a K-9 deputy to lie by claiming that the search dog "alerted" to drugs during a sniff test (by walking the dog around the driver's car) – when, in fact, the dog did NOT alert. When a dog alerts, then it gives deputies the authority to search a car for drugs, without an owners consent. The K-9 deputy refused to lie for Tutko – and the K-9 deputy reported Tutko's actions to Knight. Knight imposed no punishment on Tutko, but instead, Knight retaliated against the whistleblowing K-9 deputy by kicking him out of the K-9 unit. Then Knight promoted Tutko. Here is an article:

John is a good guy. Bring your proof or shut your mouth. You may have some fake news or false rumors, but if you aint got pictures, reports, and the testimony of the other party, you have absolutely nothing. You are already trying to make up false stuff.
