We raise our hand on day one and swear an oath. This isn't McDonald's We swear to go into danger and even death to protect any and all citizens. That is a serious OATH, a promise to do things that could get us killed. Imagine if that sh1tbag had been your backup one night and some nutjobs were overpowering you. He would have hid because it was too dangerous? The citizens are counting on us to protect them. We promise them to face danger so they won't have to. He let down and endangered every single citizen and every LEO.
