I worked the jail and road. The jail cameras record virtually everything and store the video for review. HCSO has a pilot program for body cameras for patrol. Cameras are even more important for patrol because they provide real evidence in criminal cases and protect the agency and the officers from frivolous lawsuits and false allegations. This is why many agencies are testing them out right now. Body cameras are a win for everyone.
