Most of our force is young but they are willing to work, unfortunately its our administration which is constantly threatening discipline, BWC, GPS, and everything else under the sun that makes anyone not want to work. So regardless of the generation of police officer we are speaking about like the 1980, 1990 or even the 2000 if the administration didnt have their back we would have been in the same boat. FTAA had Frank Fernandez, Thomas Cannon and many more which stood in the front lines with our troops and defended our department and badge with honor. Many others had different administrations which did the same and our current administration is aware of it because they were the boots on the street with them. However the real question is how will they handle a large scale event if it will occur today?
Let them not fool you and state that police work is different now than back then, cameras were around, taser were around, so was OC and pepper spray.

What was around them that is lacking now: Honor, Commitment, Guts, Perseverance, Training, Willingness to kick azz, Support from the staff.

What is around today: Total and complete lack of support from the staff, Castration of the police officer, Staff becoming politicians, rather than doing the job they swore to do, BS training, cancelling the units that would take care of business in a heart beat, FF plan.
