    • Currently, the Hillsborough County Civil Service Act is codified with exactitude that is statutorily binding.
      .
    • However, there is a proposal is to repeal it and replace it with a non-statutory, non-binding, "non-exactitude recommendation to be fair."

    What is going on?

Can executive management be trusted to look out for your welfare -- or just for their own welfare? LOL

That might have been under the old director, but the new one former County Commissioner Kevin Beckner didn’t pull any punches with the constitutionals and they were so upset with his board ruling against the county that they moved to abolish the whole system. You’re pretty much screwed now. It’s gonna be set up to make sure you don’t ever win and have no recourse.

That is why there is a political push to abolish civil service protection.
