Yes you need a college degree. The agency has worked hard for years to weed out all the fat rednecks so there are few left.

However, all the young college educated millennial rookies with no life skills are quitting left and right. They use those fancy college degrees as a very good back up plan and haul ass once they see the scam that this job is. Crazy addicts, domestics, shop lifts, crashes, going home late three hours after working all night for 12 hours three days in a row for 30 years? FUKK that. They get the whole “cop” thing out of their system and quit. Or worse, get fast tracked with no experience for us to deal with. Those old fat rednecks that used to run this place were real cops and down to earth good people who looked out for you. This place was sure as hell a much funner place to work.

No. Military experience, some college, you don’t need a bachelors degree. Typically for law enforcement, you need a bachelors degree for promotion past corporal. I believe promotion to lieutenant in detention requires a bachelors degree.
