I became close friends with many deputies that have come to work here only to quit a few years later. Many were retired ex cops from up north. Not ex cops from around here. No one from nearby agencies come here. They know better. Anyway, many from up north with long decorated careers and I learned a lot from them. They mentioned how things were done at their old agencies compared to here. Prior to quitting here, there was a commonality to their complaints. Basically, too much dumped on patrol without increasing manpower to compensate. Too much placed on the front lines like all the mental health garbage. Other states do things much different. Mental health calls handled by medical personnel with LEO’s there only as security. Animal calls handled by animal police. Elder and child issues handled fully by state agencies. And so on. Even how we process our own crime scenes is unheard of. They add and add and add, but don't add more cops. Remember short form reports? Remember stand alone CRA’s? Remember no CPID, no 730’s, to tip 411, no eye on crime. I get it. Those are to better the agency, but did we add more officers to compensate? What about all the new neighborhood, businesses, schools, apartment complexes? Not only did we not add more officers, we actually got rid of our 2nd shift. To show off with a 5th district. With the same amount of patrol officers. Hey, a fifth set of brass though. And they wonder why so many quit.

HCSO is a bunch of swamp goobers! They have no clue on how to be a professional Law Enforcement agency! That’s what happens when years of cronyism corrupts. Now they’ve shifted to the LBGTQ command staff! That’s all about getting Sheriff DeBartolo(AKA Chad Chronister)re-elected! You rainbow huggers better hope his soft a$$ gets re-elected, or you’ll be looking for another job. A real sheriff will surround themselves with real crime fighters, not politico’s. I’m sure all you losers who support this hypocrisy will tell me off. Oh well, truth hurts, suck it up buttercups!

You are the one introducing name calling into this thread and many other threads. Everyone else is explaining an observation they made about a person. What do they have to gain by lying? Isn't that interesting? Could it be a coincidence that the pro HCSO Kool Aid drinkers are the ones that exhibit the abusive bully behavior? Maybe our posts that expose the gravy train riders threaten that cushy job position you have?

Looks like the “yankees” actually look out for their troops instead of dumping all the load on them and a few detectives units. All while narcissistic megalomaniacs, politicians, lawyers, businessmen, and accountants make the big bucks sitting around having meetings and conferences about a bunch of nothing to justify their existence.

Hahaha! Look around you cowboy. It doesn't get more yankee than this diverse city mentality this county has. Look at the homeless crazy drug users on our streets and all the diversity. The most divers cities are decaying cesspools and we are headed down that road. Not to mention the default underlying florida trailer parks, trailer trash, and ghettos. Not to mention the never ending subsidized housing right in our own hard working neighborhoods. Plus we are a sanctuary. At least look out for us while they dump this crap on us with a skeleton crew of deputies. And all for votes.
