He does because he has an inferior complex, if you challenge him he takes it personal, he usually suffers from PTSD from back in the day when he spent days without eating lunch at school due to the fact that his lunch got taken almost every day by other kids and that’s why he hasn’t fully develop properly and still looks like a little kid trapped in a old man’s body.
