Sarasota jail removes 50 criminal aliens each year

Ten law enforcement agencies signed an agreement with ICE, which allows correctional officers to serve federal warrants on “criminal aliens” that are in jail, which allows aliens to be detained for ICE, instead of releasing them on bail for local charges.

The Sarasota Sheriff’s Office removes about 50 criminal illegal immigrants from the jail each year.
