    Thanks PBA

The Legislature agreed to provide a $2,500 base rate of pay increase effective July 1, 2019 for Correctional Probation Officers in following class codes:

Correctional Probation Officer (8036); Correctional Probation Officer - Institution (8037); Correctional Probation Senior Officer (8039); Correctional Probation Officer Specialist (8040); Correctional Probation Senior Officer - Institution (8041); Correctional Probation Supervisor (8045); and Correction Probation Senior Supervisor (8046).

This raise will apply to each officer's base rate of pay as of June 30, 2019.

This raise was a long time in the making and everyone of you certainly deserve more than the state could ever pay for the hard-work you provide. Please take a moment if you have a a chance to thank Senator Rob Bradley and Representative Travis Cummings for sponsoring the raise proposal. The final step is receiving approval from Governor Ron DeSantis (he has already told us he supports the raise).

Thank you for all you do.

    Sincerely,

    Matt Puckett
    Executive Director

So, the raise is across the board? Does this mean that all the officers who are not PBA members get it too? If so, why in the hell am I paying dues?

Because you are smart and have legal protection. Yes, the pay raise is only for CPO's across the board.

Anyone who said this about Matt can go screw themselves. This guy did everything for us. We should all be members now.

WOW!!!! Let's break that down. $2,500 divided by 26 paychecks per year equals $96.15; and that's before taxes. In reality you are looking about an additional $67 in your paycheck. Don't spend it all in one place!

I agree. PBA needs to start a strong membership drive and get all officers to join. There is power in numbers
