State Attorney now drops 70% of all arrests - 30% conviction rate

Amira Fox received over 100K from defense attorneys to get elected. Now her office is dropping 70% of all arrests. Cop makes an arrest, they only pursue 30% of arrests. Guess the criminal defense attorneys are happy. Violent crime is going up.

Maybe because only 30% of your arrests are legitimate..Believe me some of you make questionable arrests

I think the SAO has realized what crappy arrests we make and they are liable for them if they take them on. We all know we skirt the system every chance we get.

    Both Parties

Let’s just say it’s both parties. The SAO can’t keep people long enough for them to even read the case report before trial. There are days in court where I could do a better job at prosecuting the defendant for the SAO and sadly do a better job then the court appointed attorney.

As for us we can’t keep employees long enough either. We have new people training new people and employees with less then 5 years experience being promoted to train new people and all barely no law-enforcement.

The career has been removed and now both agencies are just stepping stones to better paying careers sadly elsewhere.
