A Hero with Andrew Pollack! He should have put in a judge or a politician like Jenne. Not a SGT that became friendly with a father at a gym. I don't believe he disregarded the electoral process, but everyone is sick of SI, and he had to go. Just needed to be replaced with someone other than a washed up SGT.

That is precisely the point. The moment Temporary is badmouthed, immediately you're attacked as an Israel cronie. NOPE! We just despise the way this guy came in and how he's continued the damage he was inserted to repair.

I agree that selecting a sergeant was a bad move but the hyperbole is ridiculous. We aren’t any worse off now than we were when SI was here. I would make the case that we’re better off because we don’t have his embarrassing ass anymore.

The real problem is since it is an elected position, nobody can do a nationwide search for a qualified individual, do interviews, etc. We are limited to the gene pool in Broward County, which isn't too good. Anyone that fills out an interest form for anything in the state (position, board, group, etc) gets on the Governor's list, and you are reviewed when a vacancy comes up. But since SI had to go right away, the search was even more limited to Andrew Pollacks suggestion. The Governor appeased the Parkland parents, got rid of SI, and got a black Sheriff all in one swift move

How was this not predictable??? What Harvard Law Grad thought he should put a self proclaimed expert in active shooter as the head of one of the largest public safety organizations in the US? Never mind that he probably didn't even know what BSO did besides law enforcement. Broward is just 1 piece of trash that Mayor Barbara Sharief ran into the ground with the help of Scott Israel. Good luck Sheriff Tony and Mayor Beam Furr and (all incumbents) Rep-Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D), Rep. Ted Deutch (D), Rep. Frederica Wilson (D) Rep. Alcee Hastings (D) S.A. Mike Satz, plus all those other political county and city commission hacks and the leader of the Broward school system Robert Runcie.

I think you missed the poster's sarcasm...the governor put Andrew Pollock's gym buddy into a position of great public importance. Obviously the Governor exercised his authority, but couldn't he have picked a better replacement? As for Pollock, he is a thug with money who just wants to punish BSO through his political connections.
