    Moving to Tampa

    Hello,

Current LEO in Florida looking to relocate to the Tampa area sometime early next year. I have a few questions regarding the department.

    - are you guys on 12’s? If not what is the schedule like?
    - How are the benefits? Health? Time off?
    - How are the districts broken up?
    - How is the off duty?
    - Do you guys get issued good gear?
    - Issued duty weapons?

I know it’s a lot of questions but I would greatly appreciate some insight.

Thank you again and be safe!

    Schedule 4 on 4 off 11.5hr days
Three districts each district has 2 sectors each sector has 5-7 zones
Good equipment everything including gun issued except foot wear
Good benefits minus health care is average but very good pension.
More off duty than you could work.

A forum most certainly is the place to ask such questions, are you dumb?

Am I dumb? Hmmm let me think.......no you are a moron. Think about it tard, why post if we are issued any equipment and what benefits we have, what our pension is etc. The less the public knows the better. If the poster is in fact a leo pick up the God damn phone and call personnel. In case you didn't know the media troll this site as well as defense attorneys. So stfu please. Thank you.

The media and lawyers aren’t trolling an anonymous forum for basic public information like our benefits. Knowledge of such information doesn’t present any risk to the department in any figment of an imagination. You sound very paranoid or just ignorant at best. Utilize your benefits... take a day off and go see someone. And by God don’t check the city website for detailed district maps... you might have an episode and need extra sessions in therapy. Perhaps the right question for the media and lawyers to ask is if there’s ongoing psychological evaluations for department employees.
