A sheriff is elected to perform and manage law enforcement in his county, not to waste his time with political grandstanding at the state and national level by belonging to an alphabet soup of trade associations. Their memberships are not worth the paper they are printed on. Bob would do well to concentrate on the LEO work and criminal activity in Pinellas county. Isn't the agency motto "Leading the way to a safer Pinellas"? Looks like Bob is too busy with his political career and making connections to worry about leading the way for anything in Pinellas. The only thing he leads in is fired and disgruntled employees. How about Bob doing his job for a change like he was sworn to and elected to do?

He may "put in more hours", but it certainly isn't at the PCSO or for the PCSO. You guys still only solving about 20% of the crimes that are reported to you? Maybe he could work on that a little.
