so these three disgraces to our Department should be given their jobs back because someone else did something wrong in the past. How about we hold the three morons accountable for what they did? Or since someone has gotten away with something in the past, we no longer hold anyone accountable? Get rid of the bad apples, they make us all look bad.

I couldn't agree with the above post more. And to those *****ing about it, what would they be able to do that does not involve testifying, which neither can ever do again. Dugan was right to fire them. Do we all follow every policy every day, probably not(although most policy violations are minute and unintentional). Do we all break policy regularly as these two did, probably not. Chief is right to fire them. Seems as though they got off easy to me.

They didn’t lie. They didn’t do anything illegal. If the SAO had the case and knew the facts credibility wouldn’t be an issue. They had policy violations only. Once a supervisor found the first violation and gave them pending file the behavior stopped and was corrected. Never another incident. Then they go back eight months and jam them up. They should not be fired.

You may want to refresh your law degree genius. Illegal search and seizure is against the law. Quit trying to defend embarrassments to the uniform

There was no evidence sustained of any illegal searches and seizure. There was no evidence of anything illegal at all. Just failure to document and turning off the camera, all SOP violations. As supposedly unhappy that the SAO is to have to drop cases these guys worked im sure they would be happy to charge these guys criminally if there was actually any evidence to support they did anytning illegal.
