MDPD’s good old days. When bigots ruled and minorities suffered
For those old timers coming on here to lecture us about the “good all days at MDPD”. Here is a lawsuit filed by a female back in the ‘90s. Going back to the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s, females, blacks and Hispanics were treated as second class citizens in this department. Unless you, as a minority, brown nosed a highly ranked Anglo, you could never get anywhere. Today, those bigots of old are living far away from here. They make Ocala, NC, etc., their home. Far away from the place where they made their retirement monies and away from those minorities they discriminatedfor for so long. Glad you are out of here bigots. You no longer control the chess board. Enjoy your tapioca.

In your next little racist rant narrative, make sure you vent about how anglos are treated today and majority of Anglo applicants are not entertained nor hired...so I guess this is called Payback? At least minorities were hired back then! Today, you are lucky to see an Anglo hired, especially if it's a male. There were many times was called honky and/or cracker,oh well. P.S. I highly recommend you seek county psychology services for your personal racist demons, its free!

Does your conscience bother you? Reverse racism exists only in your mind. If it offends you to be called a honky, imagine how others must have felt sitting in back of a bus, drinking from a separate fountain or denied a job as a result of the color of their skin or sex. Read the lawsuit. It is just one of a million injustices committed by the likes of you. Seek help.

You are living in denial prejudiced troll. The original post is correct. Name one female, Latin or black chief before 1985. Were it not for a federal mandated court ruling in 1981, no minority would have ever reached that rank. Like it or not, it took the arrival of JP to fully integrate this department. Live with it, as hard as that may be for you to swallow.
