    Oldsmar Traffic Nazis

Is it really necessary to drive to everything with lights and siren on? Jesus you’re pulling over speeders or red light runners, not gun runners. I know it gives you a feeling of excitement to pretend you are chasing down bad guys. But all you’re doing is stopping working class citizens and soccer moms and writing them tickets that cost them a car payment for a traffic infraction. I bet you lose your load when you get a suspended DL. It’s like you hit the mother load.

News Flash - Traffic enforcement is what new cops cut their teeth on when they are afraid of actual police work. Your stupid Chargers and your cool guy CHiPs sunglasses don’t make you a bad ass. More like a dumb ass. I bet you guys are the kings of traffic court. You should try a jury trial on a felony once in a while so you can fill in as a real cop one day in a pinch. That is when Oldsmar doesn’t want the added traffic fine revenues you cowboys generate.

P.S. West Oldsmar isn’t City of Oldsmar and neither is 611 between Tampa Road and Curlew Road. You should probably uncheck the city part of those tickets so Oldsmar doesnt get paid for your county freelancing.

Number one, you don’t know who you are pulling over. More than likely it’s an upstanding citizen but it could also be an armed criminal. Number 2, if you stop the vehicle with lights and sirens and it pulls away, you got your felony fleeing an eluding. Need the siren and lights for felony fleeing and elude. Just follow procedure and you can’t go wrong.

Good luck with that, we have a no chase policy for traffic violations.

#1 - If I am stopping someone for speeding and they actually stop I have a good idea it’s not a serial killer. But anything is possible.

#2 - No where in the FTO program or inpocy does it state you are to use your siren to effect a traffic stop. If you light them up and they flee you can turn your siren on for a few seconds and get the same charge.

#3 - Maybe you should read 316.1935 from time to time. Siren or not, it’s still a felony. And since you can’t chase it what are you going to do with your felony charge anyway? Hint - nothing.

You would think traffic hounds would know the three, maybe four, chapters of Florida Law they use better than this. But 316 is your starting point. It’s got all the great ones like speeding, traffic control devices and careless driving.

How about this....don't speed or run red lights and you will not get pulled over?
