Journalism can never be silent: that is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.

    Thomas Jefferson on gun control

Thomas Jefferson copied a passage from On Crimes and Punishments and put it in his "Commonplace Book". It was a passage about gun control laws and how they were not effective in 1776:

    • "Laws that forbid the carrying of arms... disarm only those who are neither inclined, nor determined, to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted, and better for the assailants; they serve, rather, to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one."

People from around the world are astonished at the right of U.S. citizens to be armed. That's what the U.S. is known for. However, freedom comes at a cost. Is freedom worth the cost?

United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said that the U.S. Constitution is outdated! Is she smarter than the framers of the U.S. Constitution?

Shame on Sheriff Knight for removing SSO SRO’s from our schools. They were sworn trained deputies who could work hand in hand with any SSO member. Now all I hear are screaming school board police who don’t know how to use a radio. I feel so much better knowing our children are being protected by underfunded, and undertrained police. The Sheriff sold out our children because he couldn’t play well with the school board. Tom, it’s called leadership! You should look into taking a class or reading some books about it.
