    Potential pay raise for CPO's

I read the recent PBA hotsheet that read the Senate has approved a pay raise for all probation officers/supervisors in the amount of $2500. Now we have to get the House to approve it and finally the governor.

The House already voted against the raise. Sorry.

Actually that is not true. SB 2500 indicates $2500 raise for CPO, CPS, CPSS and FDLE agents. The House and Govenor must still sign on and we still have 4 weeks

OK. Enough of the guessing. Yes, there is a Senate Bill about a raise. And currently, there is no companion bill in the House. So, if the House does not have a bill, the Senate bill will die.

My Tally contact says the bill is being discussed in the House this week and there is support among the members for the pay raise. The next two weeks will be critical.

What about support staff??? We now do an Officers job & they get the raise but we don’t! Go figure. DROP time is getting shorter & shorter! I ‘ll at least get raises if I retire!

Support staff is grossly underpaid. I greatly appreciate the dwindling support staff in my office. We had a great crew until the new Sr Sup started running them off. Now we are in trouble.

Well, when you get a 4-year degree, go to the state academy, go out in the middle of the night and do searches, make an arrest. Then maybe. until then you don't do our job.
