I'm not a Javi fan. Never have been. He does some good things but many, many stupid things that smears Mpd and all of us. The work he does with Live Like Bella is good stuff for kids with cancer and he should not be ridiculed for it. He does a lot of other stuff to be ridiculed about.

Sailors, you were not drafted. You enlisted. So STFU or we may be talking some eucalyptus steam room action at Vic Tanny's or some fisticuffs at Pirate's World.

Taken a picture of a child’s casket with yourself on it and then posting it on your social media is narcissistic and Sick as f k!
Put that together with all the lawsuits and little pubescent acts he does while hiding behind a police badge is truly mind boggling that he is protected

Ortiz is all BS! He doesn’t give 3 f u Cks of bella. He just like to exploit the situation to his benefit. All bike ride are scams paid by the city and the foundation nothing is done voluntarily. He doesn’t donate not even one hour of his own time. Everything Ortiz does is on City time.

avier Ortiz was born in Miami, Florida. Javier performed all his undergraduate work at Florida International University and received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. While attending college, Javier worked as an advocate improving the lives of individuals with disabilities. Javier has served in many different roles for non-profit organizations raising awareness and necessary funding to help those in need. For the past ten years, he has been serving the community as a public servant. Javier is currently a Captain with the Miami Police Department and commands their Specialized Operations Section. He is also the Union President for the Miami Fraternal Order of Police (FOP). In June 2013, Javier spearheaded a fundraiser to raise funds exclusively for pediatric cancer research. Javier and nine Miami Police Officers rode mountain bikes in full police uniform (gun belts and all!) over 28 bridges and a total of 162 miles from Miami to Key West. These rides in honor of Bella and all the children that have fought cancer, have continued for the past three years returning to Key West and even 300 miles from Miami to Disney in Orlando in 2015. Javier is a strong advocate for childhood cancer. He and Bella shared a special bond as friends and as police partners. Javier frequently accompanied his partner, Bella to doctor’s appointments and was with her until she took her last breath and went to heaven. As a member of the Board of Directors, he helps set the strategic goals and objectives for the foundation until the day that childhood cancer is no more.
