Any one else sore after these joke pay raises?

Yes I enjoyed his comments on "internet snipers" as well.

Compression is my favorite part of this whole thing.

16 year sergeant who worked hard to get here by doing field training and investigations first, sorry here is your tier one "A" raise. Zero dollars

2 year deputy who just became sergeant boom same pay. Tier one "A"

Investigators? "you get weekends off" same pay as deputies.

Don't like your pay? "you're just being jealous"

This pay plan is 10 years in the making? I could come up with a better pay plan in 2 hours with a crayon and some non-lined notebook paper.

Here Mike, since apparently you read this, is some real advice, and not just more *****ing.

Put people on the plan that matches their years of service here:

    Examples:

Sergeant here 12 years should be put on the deputy scale at the 12 year bump then pushed through the 10% version to the sergeant level which puts them on step B or C of the sergeant level NOT step A.

4 year deputy at this agency should be on step "D" or "E" not step "A"

Investigators need a pay increase over deputies. Period.

Field training officers should be either their own pay scale or combined with the corporal position. A stipend is stupid because a % raise out scales it within 1 year.

We need more corrections officers, but we are not getting going up in pay with patrol deputies? No incentive

About the only thing on this pay scale that was done correctly was the lieutenant rank and above, on the law enforcement side.

Finally, if you want to talk to your people don't fill a room with supervisors who are going to crack skulls the moment one of their people asks a real question of you. You can stand up there and say "ask me questions, this is your plan people" all you want but if anyone actually does they get destroyed by a lieutenant the moment they are out of earshot of you.

If you actually care about the people here, then stop using the mindset "its a raise, shut up and like it" and actually get real input from people who loyally and faithfully stay the course at this agency.

Sorry, Mikey has spent all his time spending the Walton Tax Dollars on getting political friends nice, easy and high paying jobs since he was first elected. Look at the turn over in the higher ups and what they were paid and for how long...

Jerry is just another incarnation of this facade' perpetrated by Mike. But "everyone" likes Mike, right???

As another poster put it, Mike is a political whore that sold out to Adam Putnam and lost. Putnam, Drake and the rest of Mike's kind need to go on down the road.

Time that those that served our county for years, with dedication and ethics be rewarded and treated right.

Time for WCSO to seek Union support as this has helped in DeFunk, with two wrongfully terminated officers getting their jobs back, under another "Mikey" like joke of a leader.

Oh God, don't say or think "Union". Last guy that did that got framed for DUI and lost his job. Ultimately the trumped up charges against him were dropped. Unfortunately, the no so honest fellow officer got nothing and today is a command staff member. That's how we roll in Walton.

I believe the framed officer is now very well employed at another agency.

That “very well employed” Officer was written up multiple times at his current agency until transferring and attempted to go back to Walton, but was denied.

Let's just assume your statement has any truth to it...

Still, the officer was one that supported a Union coming to WCSO. He was specifically targeted and set up with bogus charges. Those charges (DUI) were dropped and the case is sealed. The one that participated in the set up was NOT disciplined and since that time, has been consistently promoted. Prior to that, they could not even pass the Sgt's exam.

So, my point is this; be prepared to be retaliated against if you attempt to bring in or support PBA or FOP in the good ole' boy panhandle.
