I'm not privy to gossip, every time I've been summoned to the SOC it's so they can tear me a new a-hole, and I don't have a cushy job. I work patrol and respond to calls for service. With that out of the way, I've met DA a few times. He always smiled, shook my hand, and every time he remembered my name. One of the few attaboys I received from the office was when he took the time to write the Sheriff to thank him for what was a run of the mill call for service for me. I don't know what goes on in the PIO and maybe everything that's been said is true. But a big chunk of the leadership could take a lesson that a smile, a handshake, and a genuine thank you can do wonders for people who spend most of their shift getting pissed on. Also, they didn't bounce him to the curb. He has another position now.
