BSO excellent DOD!
You got out at the right time. BSO with all it's issues is ten times better than the state prisons.
The inmates there almost run the place and a lot of the CO s are bringing in contraband. I have worked at detention centers in the South for 30 years. I retired from the state prison system and now work here. I have to say BSO is one of the best facilities anywhere.

Don't talk about our BSO jail-guards that way. Are you speaking from a position of AMAZING LEADERSHIP? Is this the treatment our former boss, that big eared freak who got fired, taught you how to behave and treat other people? I know this is how he talks about the criminals, and the blacks and the gays behind their back, but wow!

That is true. There's no comparison and overall, it's a good operation if you compare it to it's counterparts. However, this does not apply to mental health services which are sorely lacking; not the fault of sworn DOD, but the poor choices and oversight of contracted services. Many Vietnam and Iraqi veterans, some lie about service, but others can be verified. They should not be housed in that hole in Pompano. The psychiatrists who clear these inmates or designate them for psychiatric services are sub-standard and that's been known for years.

I could count the number of times that I have ran into inmates that have claimed, "I'm ex-special forces", or "I was a Navy Seal", or "I helped hunt down Bin Laden", etc. They all served in the "Stolen Valor Corps." Some loser chops off his own schlong and now it's a national tragedy about how veterans are treated??? LOL!!!!!!!!!!

I respect the guy. Not for being a veteran, but for having a **** ****** long enough to cut off. If I tried to remove 2 inches of tube, I'd be cutting into my spleen.
PS- The jail colonels are still more interested in fake church, vacations and filming boogy nights pornos in the jail than they are in running a tight ship. More will happen...

Lots of false claims, but sometimes not; and all too often. Not one of the real veterans with legitimate PTSD should be housed in a place like North Broward. This is not a new topic Cynical Sal. It's been discussed for years. And, yeah, the non-millennials respect those who served (before participation trophies were issued) regardless of the choices that they made.
