How do you explain the concept of a speed limit to kids without sounding like a hypoc

    Hello everyone,,
This question is more geared towards law enforcement; specifically people who have spoke to many kids in a classroom/auditorium setting.
My GF has 3 kids, ages: 2, 5 and 7. I sometimes drive them to school in the morning. The other day, the 5yr old was reading signs (learning numbers), and the 7yr old inquired as to what a speed limit xvideos.onl/ xnxx.onl/ chaturbate.onl/ is. I was SERIOUSLY stumped as to how to approach answering this.
On one side, you have what we all do 99% of the time, which is go over by a few MPH and keep up with traffic--effectively breaking the speed limit. Since we're supposed to teach kids that breaking the law is bad, explaining this truthfully makes us hypocrits.
On the other side, you have the truth, which 99% of people don't do--adhering to the speed limit.
My question is, how do you handle answering that question without deflecting?
