We are number one in this category

We have to be the best Agency in the entire bay area for suspensions, firings, employee arrests, and resign or be fired recommendations. It looks like the Sheriff is taking care of business to the public. There have been many cases where the employee could have been salvaged, but the trend is to be harsh/overkill. The downside to this take no prisoners discipline is we have now managed to be the laughing stock of the entire bay area. The Sheriff looks good on discipline, while the rest of us look like a clown show.

Stop doing stupid sh*t like tossing nails under your neighbors tires and you wont look like a clown show. See, problem solved. Why salvage trash? Trash goes to the dump last I checked. Oh I know back in the day we just hide it and now its dealt with. Are you saying the Sheriff should hide your stupidity? Good luck on that one.

Don’t fret. Most hard line supervisors here always meet their fate the same way. Even if Bob is the sheriff, it doesn’t mean he is immune. It can come in many forms, doing something illegally, health issues, bad decision making, etc. Be patient, as history at this place has shown that it always comes around in the end. Seen it many times and laugh.

On believe he can do anything he wants and that he can find a way to justify it. Look how many suspensions are for 5.4 Duties and Responsibilities. Is every policy violation a 5.4???? No, but Bob can craft it into one. There specific rules for a variety of “responsibilities”. But how often are those rules used? Rarely. Because it’s what Bob thinks should happen. I hear talk of “progressive discipline”. When does that happen? People want to know where they stand in right and wrong. When you use such vague rules to blast people for 40 hour suspensions is makes the rest of the employees uneasy. Not that anyone upstairs gives a shit. I honestly don’t know what they want.

Name one that was unfair? Seems to me people do stuff and things happen to them? What’s uneasy about that? We hear about the 5 day susp but how many get zero? More to this than just people get hammered. Lots get less.

Your truly are not paying attention. But you keep towing the company line. If Bob has demonstrated anything, its no one is immune from his wrath. You make reference to things in the past being swept under the rug. Generally not true for the rank and file. The big difference, a azz chewing or one day suspension had the same effect as two weeks off, if you were a good employee. Your overall performance and experience was considered, absolutely none of that matters now. Discipline is necessary, harsh discipline occasionally, very few cases are on the minimal side of the scale now. If you work here, your banking on the thought that you will never make a judgement call that angers or embarrasses upper management, and if you do err, your banking on the thought that all your contributions and agency devotion will save you, good luck with that.

Everything at PCSO is PERFECT. Every paycheck is a fortune, everyday is an adventure!!! Everyone is treated fairly and impartially!!! It’s all about the being apart of the Great Big PCSO Family!!! They even give us a picnic every year where the bosses serve us hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks with a smile!!!! We get new gear all the time!! We get dark green uniforms and cool basket weave gun belts!!!

Reality. Pay is average for the region. Pinellas is not terribly busy. Discipline is all over the place. It reallly matters what you did, if you bare your soul in the interview and if you pissed the Sheriff off somehow. Some things never gets that far. People who are deemed important don’t get discipline until it is too public to hide anymore. There is no family here, it’s a business. Gear is good. Uniforms are behind the times. Thanks for dark green in the sunshine state Bob!! Works great in day shift bro!! We should be wearing realistic tactical gear, like Pasco. They got that part right. Even SPPD has external vests. And that bullahit external vest Bob lets us wear is a joke. He wants us ready for a parade. It’s great when assholes who don’t work the road, or anything close to it, decide what’s practical for a job they don’t do.

If you could remove POS Bob and 5-6 of his command staff a-holes this agency would be a much better place, and we could concentrate on LEO work without the micromanagement, with backup from the brass, and less political BS. Until the head of the snake gets chopped off, expect more of the same.

It's coming. Watch the Tampa Bay Times in the next week or so to see a clear sign of the writing on the wall for Bobby.
