I’m glad I went to the Correctional Forum last night in Wewahitchka for the candidates running for District 7. While this is a Big Bend election, there was a clear choice who not only knows about our issues and concerns but also had a plan to share versus the talk of the others.We gotta have reps who will support our agency and officers. No doubt Mike Watkins is our guy. He has served in public service helping family’s for 27 years both with HRS and BBCBC. He is also a military veteran and the son of a Police Chief. I’m tired of lip service from dems with no power in the legislation and Republicans with no plan.....maybe this is our start. Take a look for whatever it’s worth. The special election is on 4/8.
