Just say "no" when Knight and the FSA telephone you to ask for money. And if you get their junk mail via the post office, then file it where it belongs: in the garbage can.

The FSA also claims that protecting school children from active-shooters is not the prerogative of law enforcement. The FSA claim is asinine and you can read it here:

Knight is also involved in another charity scam where 7 out of 10 dollars collected are re-spent on advertising to beg for more money. It's a vicious charity-scam-cycle. Someone else can post an article to that scam.
It was discussed two years ago when Knight started using the Sheriff's Activity League (SAL) to scam money e.g. most money that is raised by Knight (via SAL) is then re-spent on raising more money. It's a vicious ugly cycle. Here is the discussion from two years ago:

1. Do other private corporations have a legal right to raise money, advertise, solicit or post private business information at the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Facebook website?

2. What is the bidding process to raise money, advertise, solicit or post private business information onto the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Facebook page?

Here are 10 advertisements on the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office Facebook page:

This is obviously not Knight's first scam.
