Who's going to be able to get a background check as a private citizen? Even if they come up with a way to do this it's probably going to mean a visit to a local gun shop/FFL dealer to get it done and add yet another fee.

Who's going to police these things?

And the final question: Do these elected morons think this is going to have any effect on the criminal element that are currently buying guns on the street? Yeah I can see this scenario. Leroy wants to buy a gun for protection but he's a convicted felon so he can't buy one from a pawn shop or gun store. He won't buy it online because that requires the purchaser to pick it up at an authorized FFL dealer and get a background check. A buddy of his tells him he has a co-worker that is selling a gun but the price is too close to retail. He wants a cheap peace so he puts the word out in his neighborHOOD. Suddenly Tyrone calls him and says "Pookie" has a Glock for sale and wants $100. Ty sets it up that Leroy meets with "Pookie" at Fred Atkins Park at midnight and the deal is done. No background check done but yet another gun is sold to the criminal element from yet another criminal. This new law again only has a negative impact on the law abiding citizens.

Here is the DNC/socialist's 2-step gun control logic:
1. To make all law abiding citizens safe from lawless criminals...
2. All lawful citizens must be legally disarmed.

Requiring citizen's to get governmental permission to buy or sell a gun is the antithesis to the Second Amendment. In fact, it's against the original precepts of the founders of the United States Constitution. Vern Buchanan is clearly "bought and paid for." He's a RINO.

We all need to contact Vern and tell him that his thinking is flawed. In the most recent case involving Tyran Young shooting at the paramedics after he placed a fictitious call and ambushing those guys, does Congressman Vern realize that this 5-time convicted felon did not buy the gun used to perpetrate this crime via legal means? Does he really think that the thug who sold him the gun was a legitimate seller? This type of legislature is dangerous to the law abiding citizens. It will do nothing to curb gun violence. The only way to curb gun violence is to start building more prisons and house these people for their crimes. The 10-20-life punishment is BS. This POS tried to kill 2 unarmed civil servants that would've had no 2nd thoughts to risk their own safety if Tyran was in need of their services yet he decided to play God. Luckily he is a bad shot or there may have been a real tragedy. If the state wins the conviction in court I say lock him up and throw away the key! Once a P.O.S. always a P.O.S.
