What are the requirements for Detention Deputies to transfer/move to Court Operations (Bailiff), and or other units like the jail’s K9 handlers?

You gotta be there a while to get a bailiff position. And, it's been a long time since any jail deputy has been given a K9 at this agency. For K9, like on the road, you gotta be connected, a golden child, or "diverse." The fact that you're asking this question, instead of already in the know tells me you're not connected, and not a golden child. So unless you're "diverse," K9 aint gonna happen for you. No matter how clean your work record is, how much you stay out of trouble, how much you bust your asss, how little sick time you use, and so on. Try a different county where the selection process might be fair and performance based.
