    PT Standards

I know there is a pre-hire PT test to get on with the department. Do you at any point have to take that PT test again? For instance in the PCSO run academy prior to FTO or as a yearly fitness qualification?

The annual mandatory in-service PAT (physical assessment test) is a piece of cake compared to the pre-hire PT test. Once you are hired the annual in-service PAT is the only one you have to successfully complete.

Anyone know how PT is during the in house academy prior to going into FTO?

You get most of your pt in the academy. The in-house portion prior to fto isn’t that demanding because there are so many other high liability requirements that need to be accomplished. After FTO you have an annual PT test that you must pass. That said it’s important to be in good physical shape so you can perform your job successfully and not get hurt.
