Fairyland? Easy to verify just ask a detective who was there at that time .
You're not even making sense, the sergeants assign the cases not the Captain of CI or section Lt. Now if they're just run of the mill robbery cases, each robbery detective is assigned a city, homicide has callout teams that rotate who is on call. If there is a callout on weekends or after hours, each unit has a late night detective and a call out detective for the weekend. That's how they are assigned.

If it's a violent crimes case then yes a violent crimes detective will handle, you're talking complete jibberish. The seniority of detectives across different units does not play a part. An SVU detective isnt going to be assigned a robbery unless it came out as something different, turned out to be a robbery then they should follow through with the case but that unit puts in the least amount of work and would call robbery to hand it off the first chance they got

Try reading the first two posts in this thread. Read them twice, and concentrate. When Captain snack took over CI , all of the detectives were Moved around to other sergeants in the division. SO a violent crimes detective DID NOT handle a violent crimes case because RS replaced those detectives with detectives from other units to shake things up!
    Who the hell
mentioned seniority? This happened but it you want to call it gibberish because you failed to read the first posts,go for it.

Maybe so , but he wasn’t in Deerfield until Scott was elected.

    What really happened

Right but he WAS in charge of downtown CI before Scott got elected which put him in ultimate command of all investigations . That's when he lost his mind and had bunk beds from the jail installed so detectives could spend the night on big cases. Covered in snot and strange glowing drizzle that people who defend him like to taste.
