I'm surprised by how many deputies decided to grow beards. I thought it would be a few. Turns out about a third of all the ones I've seen now have them. Looks okay, too. This really isn't something for people to get worked up about.

It has definitely boosted morale! You no longer have to get the phony note from your doctor, saying that you have "Pseudofolliculitis barbae" which prohibits you from shaving. Woo hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Idk about you, but I've never had to don a gas mask for normal patrol operations. And all you need is a 10 minute notice for riot control to shave. So......

If you keep the length of your beard to the policy standard of 1/4 inch or less, and shave the area under your chin and jaw line, the mask wil seal just fine. So there's that.
