I was at the airport incident the entire day. The cause of the panic and disorganization were the eronious reports of more shooters and sightings that kept getting called in all afternoon. If it weren’t for that, it wasn’t really that big of a cluster.

The cause of the cluster/disorganization was the county-wide-free-for-all response. And who would have known, but lesson learned. Choke off the ingress, clear out all civilian cars and stage all LE vehicles along the flyover and everyone goes in on foot. Once every freakin on-duty cop in the county jammed the lower and upper decks, we were doomed. Was like one of those apocalyptic movies where the highway is jammed and littered with vehicles. We lost all control (and incident command management credibility) at that point.

Why are you talking about the airport shooting again. The courageous, tenured deputies assigned the the airpor hsd the suspect in custody in record time. They should all be commended for their heroics. Some of the best of the best work at the airport. Maybe all of you could learn a thing or two about real police work from an airport warrior deputy.

This post is garbage, especially the reference to military experience. All branches of military are full of rejects. Not everyone in military is a Navy SEAL. In fact, 90 % of military are nowhere near combat.

Guess what? They should be. All Navy SEALS should be SEALS (dumb azz) all Marines should be killers. Everyone in the military is supposed to be combat ready unless they're drafted (that's how we got secretaries and cooks though still combat ready just tender-vittles). But then we got some fairies like commander-in-chief Obama in there doing all kinds of social experiments just like Israel did to us, BSO, "we are no longer a law enforcement agency."
