"Israel is the first prominent elected official in nearly 15 years to challenge a governor’s suspension by demanding a Senate trial.

The last person to do so was also from Broward County: Miriam Oliphant, a former county elections supervisor, was removed from office in 2005 by a 32-7 vote of senators. She had been suspended from office by Gov. Jeb Bush followings a series of irregularities in the 2002 election."

Defend Those Who Defend You: Protect Hassan, Nezar, Wilfredo & CAIR-FL
Fundraiser for Cair-Florida, Inc. by Hassan Shibly

Today Hassan Shibly, Nezar Hamze, and Wilfredo Ruiz took the witness stand to defend themselves personally and CAIR-FL as defendants in a law suit against them.

We were sued for defamation by someone who has described himself as an Islamophobe, in connection with our work to protect our community.

We were sued both in our personal capacity and as an organization.

You know you can count on us when you are targeted. Can we count on you to stand with us?

It has already cost us over $20,000 to defend ourselves. We are confident that with God's help we will be victorious, but we need your support.

Please support our defense so we can continue to defend our faith and community.

CAIR-Florida's mission is to enhance the understanding of Islam, encourage dialogue, protect civil liberties, empower American Muslims, and build coalitions that promote justice and mutual understanding.

Woman who joined ISIS in Syria denied return to U.S. by Trump

    WASHINGTON -

The lawyer for an Alabama woman denied return to the U.S. after joining the Islamic State group in Syria says he has evidence she's an American citizen.

U.S. officials contend Hoda Muthana isn't a citizen and has no legal basis to travel to the U.S.

President Donald Trump says he decided to deny her return and that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo agrees with that decision.

Pompeo says Muthana isn't a citizen and doesn't have a valid passport.

Her lawyer, Hassan Shibly, released a copy of her birth certificate and a letter from a U.S. official, indicating her father was no longer a diplomat when she was born in 1994.

Shibly says Muthana had a valid U.S. passport before she joined the militant group in 2014.

AP wire services helped contribute to this report.

The mumbling Idiot, thinks he was removed in retaliation for incompetence at MSD. His tiny little mind, forgets about the courthouse escape and the airport slaughter! All due to his incompetence, and appointment of friends and contributors to jobs they were unqualified for. Israel should have never risen above the rank of security guard! He will never work in law enforcement again in any capacity!

Yeah. And the ones operationally responsible for the courthouse escape (jail and courthouse) are now ALL colonels. To bad Jenne went to jail. None of these idiots would have survived those incidents as he didnt care what color you were. Especially the lead jail turd who was out of town laying down jiggy beats, as per usual. You screw up at those levels endangering the public, you're gone the next day. Not promoted twice, like the courthouse captain. Now we have the militant fat brick mason taking Reyes' spot. The next catastrophe should be interesting.

Listen, if he Federal courts find this to be within their jurisdiction, I think you might be surprised to find out how much power they have. Not saying they would find jurisdiction, but if they do, anything could happen. You go ahead and tell a Federal Judge what they can’t do, and let us all know how that works out for you.
Thats a whole lot of "ifs" there cowboy. No judge is gonna rule to reinstate a state public official unless there is a Constitutional violation, and there is no Constitutional violation here, even if the governor's suspension order does not meet the requirements laid out in state law.

In order for the judge to reinstate Isreal to office he/she would first have to rule the unconstitutionality of one or more of the following:

    A) A state generally has the authority to remove publicly elected officials under certain conditions they deem appropriate

    B) A state has the authority to lay out specific laws and process rules regarding the removal of publicly elected officials.

    C) The laws and process rules specifically enacted, in form and function, all conform to the constitution.

Which one of these do you hypothesize a federal judge would be ruling against?

If Isreal believes the Governor's suspension order is inadequate, state law provides an avenue for him to challenge it, and its not in federal court.

Scott didn't raise enough money to afford the paperwork to file a lawsuit. He's done. Stick a fork in him.

Whatever money he was able to scrounge up will most definitely be going in his attorney's wallet. Too bad, so sad for "candy and nuts" since he'll be footing the bill mainly out of his own pocket for nothing.
